Calculations involving powers
Ignore the sign of the power and multiply the uncertainty by the power. e.g
(30 +/- 2 mm)3 uncertainty in result is +/-( 3 x 2) = +/- 6mm3
(30 +/- 2 mm)-3 uncertainty in result is +/-( 3 x 2) = +/- 6mm-3
(25 +/- 2mm2)1/2 uncertainty in result is +/-(1/2 x 2) = +/-1mm
